The development of Solare was driven by our 30 years of experience in the industry. Over time, we observed technical issues and complex designs that posed challenges for the installation of side track blinds. Many products were excessively component-heavy, requiring a substantial stock. We questioned why the design wasn’t simplified for simpler manufacturing and minimal stock-holding. The installation process had to be straightforward for installer satisfaction.
Customers also became discerning, demanding a flawless appearance without wrinkles or fabric distortions. We meticulously documented all the problems related to manufacturing, installation, and stockholding typically found in side track blind manufacturing and installation. Then we systematically addressed each issue during the design phase. The result is a product that not only looks fantastic, with a fabric that sits flat out of the box, but it’s an outdoor blind that also requires fewer components for manufacturing. In fact, existing manufacturers only need 11 different product lines to produce our full range. Ease of installation was also a top priority. Our aim was to simplify the process and address common fitting issues that installers encounter daily. Our careful technical considerations and adjustments in the pastings or injection mouldings have achieved this, making Solare blinds the “installer-friendly side track blind” in Australia.
From a price point, how does Solare compare to what’s out there?
It’s definitely a case of getting what you pay for. With entry-level pricing, you receive an entry-level product. It depends on how discerning you are as a consumer and what you want to see in the finished product. Entry-level pricing may result in fabric waffling, a “smile in the fabric,” a bottom rail with a bow, or a bottom rail that doesn’t sit parallel with your headbox when retracted. If you pay a little more for something like the Solare Verticali range, you’ll have a more rigid bottom rail, larger roller tubes and superior roll technology compared to others on the market. You’ll then get a straight bottom rail that rolls up smoothly every time. You won’t experience waffling or wrinkles in your fabric. Instead, you will get a nice, flat fabric straight out of the box!
In terms of colours, can Solare match its competition?
There is an abundance of colours. So, every Solare Verticali side track bind installation can be custom coloured and custom-built to suit any decor. Australian consumers generally rely on the Dulux colour range within the Dura Alloy range for powder coats. We’re seeing a huge increase in textured in the popularity of textured colours too which makes for a very interesting look.
Are Solare blinds motorised?
Yes. Solare Verticali is a motorised product. They can also be operated manually with a crank handle.
B.A.C are continuously in the development stages for Solare and its various features. We have planned releases and variations for Solare for the next 5 to 7 years, ensuring a continuous stream of new offerings and improvements.
